Encourage

First Time to See

Hello! This is the first time in my blog and I have something to tell that is 10 epigrams
which I have to test tomorrow. I think it is great, so let's enjoy!!

"There is nothing so sweet as love's young dreams." - Anonymous

"First say to yourself what you would be, and then do what you have to do."
- Epictetus

"Glory in life is not in never failing, but rising each time we fail." - Anonymous

"It is never too late to be what you might have been." - George Eliot

"Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment."
- Ralph waldo Emerson

"Who never made a mistake never made a discovery." - Soren Kierkegarad

"If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything." - Anonymous

"It is not fair to ask others what you are not willing to do yourself."
- Eleanor Rousevelt

"Well done is better than well said." - Ben Franklin

"Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly." - Robert F. Kennedy

Who is Anonymous?

We [Anonymous] just happen to be a group of people on the internet who need — just kind of an outlet to do as we wish, that we wouldn’t be able to do in regular society. …That’s more or less the point of it. Do as you wish. … There’s a common phrase: ‘we are doing it for the lulz.’(http://www.technolomo.com/2012/03/02/1943/)

Who is Epictetus?

Stoic philosopher Epictetus wrestled lightly with the dilemma and, in a small act of defiance, refused to shave: “Come, then, Epictetus, shave yourself.” “If I am a philosopher, I will not shave myself” (page 10 of this edition of the Discourses).(http://www.stephenhicks.org/tag/epictetus/)

Who is George Eliot?

George Eliot was the pen name of Mary Anne Evans, a walking, breathing lesson in the power of having a single-minded will. Sure, other women authors were publishing under their own names by the time she wrote what some have called the greatest English novel, Middlemarch. But, ever a realist, she didn’t want her gender to get in the way of being taken seriously. Also, she was living with a married man for 20 years and didn’t want to cause further scandal. Mary Anne Evans knew what she wanted and pursued her goals with the rugged tenacity of a big game hunter.

America is another name for opportunity. Our whole history appears like a last effort of divine Providence in behalf of the human race.

Who is  Soren Kierkegaard ?

Søren Aabye Kierkegaard (b. 1813, d. 1855) was a profound and prolific writer in the Danish “golden age” of intellectual and artistic activity. His work crosses the boundaries of philosophy, theology, psychology, literary criticism, devotional literature and fiction. Kierkegaard brought this potent mixture of discourses to bear as social critique and for the purpose of renewing Christian faith within Christendom. At the same time he made many original conceptual contributions to each of the disciplines he employed. He is known as the “father of existentialism”, but at least as important are his critiques of Hegel and of the German romantics, his contributions to the development of modernism, his literary experimentation, his vivid re-presentation of biblical figures to bring out their modern relevance, his invention of key concepts which have been explored and redeployed by thinkers ever since, his interventions in contemporary Danish church politics, and his fervent attempts to analyse and revitalise Christian faith.

Who is Eleanor Rousevelt?

Born October 11, 1884, in New York City, Eleanor Roosevelt (niece of Theodore Roosevelt) was a shy child who grew up to be one of the most outspoken women in the White House. She married Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1905. During her husband's presidency, Eleanor gave press conferences and wrote a newspaper column. After his death, she served at the UN working for human rights and women's issues.

Who is Ben Franklin?

America has never forgotten Benjamin Franklin because he did both. He lived these words of wisdom by writing as much as he possibly could and by doing even more. He became famous for being a scientist, an inventor, a statesman, a printer, aphilosopher, a musician, and an economist. Today, we honor Ben Franklin as one of our Founding Fathers and as one of America's greatest citizens. Although he was born in Boston, the city of Philadelphia is remembered as the home of Ben Franklin. In Philadelphia, you can find both Ben's gravesite and the Benjamin Franklin National Memorial. You'll also find The Franklin Institute Science Museum.

Who is Robert F. Kennedy?

Robert Francis Kennedy, the son of Joseph Patrick Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald, was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, in 1925. His great grandfather, Patrick Kennedy, had emigrated from Ireland in 1849 and his grandfathers, Patrick Joseph Kennedy and John Francis Fitzgerald, were important political figures in Boston. Kennedy's father was a highly successful businessman who later served as ambassador to Great Britain (1937-40).

Ok! Hope you enjoy with the idols. ^^
